For over three decades, my creative career was rooted in the digital realm as a graphic designer and illustrator. While I’ve been experimenting with ceramics for  about five years, a major shift happened recently when I closed my design business to focus on clay. In a world where everything has become so digital, there is something deeply rewarding about returning to pure, handmade techniques. This past year has been a joyful deep dive into tactile exploration—bringing my design background into the physical world to play with raw textures and vibrant colours.

My current work centers on the meticulous technique of sgraffito. I am drawn to the power of simplicity: using a single, bold color to create high-contrast, impactful imagery. Stripping away the noise allows the focus to shift entirely to the harmony between the graphic design and the clay body beneath. This collection is a celebration of texture, a testament to the enduring power of bold lines, and an ongoing experiment in how design evolves when it takes physical form.
