Portals of the Unknown- Arya Green

Painting Collage on Paper

77cm L x 28 cm H

Portals of the Unknown explores the idea of entering unfamiliar spaces and seeing the world in a different way. The mixed media artwork uses a neutral colour palette, combining alternate colour and black-and-white mimicked imagery within strips across the composition. The images have been elongated to create distortion, while black and white pen marks add layers of scribbled texture over the surface. These elements work together to create a sense of mystery and invite the viewer to look beyond what is immediately recognisable.
