Heggerty's Farm - Carolyn McCosker

1003mm (w) x 1008mm (h)

(framed in Tasmanian Oak acrylic and oil paint on canvas)

Landscape painting provides a platform for me to experiment with the nuances of visual language and the materiality of paint. I seek to express on canvas the folds and layers of the country I see around me, the pockets of human settlement and the stories I imagine enfolded within the groves and hillsides. These impressions entwine with my imagination and memories of growing up on the land and find their way into my paintings.
