I came into art in my early twenties through the discovery of creative impulses that had previously been squandered on suppression. After a long but chequered interval, I have returned to that practice with renewed focus and realigned with earlier ambitions.

My work draws on early intuitions and ongoing reflections on identity, shaped by the perspective time brings. Rooted in careful observation and quiet self‑reflection, it examines how change reshapes self‑knowledge and the layered depths of identity — how we perceive ourselves, how we present ourselves, and the narratives we construct about who we are — while holding space for the unspoken interior self. Rather than revisiting the past, this work extends an unfinished conversation, using material practice to test and respond to those first impulses. Born from a single drawing, the work unfolds as one strand in a braided series of inquiries, where conceptual questions are tested and answered through the tactile language of clay.
