This photograph captures a quiet moment of connection between myself and the natural environment. A starfish rests delicately in the palm of my hand before being returned to the sea, creating a sense of care, responsibility and respect for marine life. The central composition places the interaction at the heart of the image, allowing the viewer to focus on the relationship between human and nature. The simplicity of the moment reflects the idea that some experiences are temporary, yet leave a lasting impression. Drawn from the Sea represents both where the starfish came from and the fleeting connection created before it was returned to its home.
