The old railway station, broken tracks and rural country landscape create a place that feels suspended between past and present. There is beauty in the stillness, but also a sense of something having ended — a journey, a time, a place that can no longer be returned to. The work draws on the history and character of the region while allowing the landscape itself to tell its own story.

Alicia Carmichael is an Australian artist and professional.
